Terms of Sale (Memberships, Billing, Cancellation)
1. Who these Terms apply to
These Terms of Sale apply when you purchase a membership from The Business Networking Group (TBNG) through our website.
They should be read alongside our:
- Terms of Use
- Privacy Policy
- Cookie Policy
2. Business-use only
Our memberships are intended for business use.
You may be a limited company, partnership, or sole trader. Sole traders and individuals acting in the course of business are welcome.
We do not offer our memberships for personal/consumer use. If you are acting as a consumer (i.e., outside your trade, business, craft, or profession), you should not purchase a membership.
3. What you are buying
We offer memberships that may include access to:
- An online directory listing
- Member-only website areas
- Chapter participation and networking meetings (for Chapter Members)
Membership features and pricing are shown on our website and may change over time.
4. Subscription billing (monthly, in advance)
Memberships are billed monthly in advance.
- Payment is taken at the start of each billing period
- Your access runs for that paid month
5. Rolling monthly term
There is no minimum term. Memberships continue month-to-month until cancelled.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time.
- Cancellation stops future renewals
- You will keep access until the end of your current paid month
- Your listing and member access will be removed at the end of that paid period
7. No refunds
All payments are non-refundable.
This includes:
- No refunds for partial months
- No refunds for unused time after cancellation
8. Failed payments
If a payment fails, we may suspend access and/or remove your listing until payment is successfully made.
9. Meeting fees (separate from membership subscription)
Some networking meetings/events may have a separate per-meeting fee to cover venue and catering costs.
Key points:
- Meeting fees are separate from your monthly membership subscription
- Meeting fees may be payable at the door or by bank transfer (including after the event)
- If you do not attend, you will not be charged a meeting fee
10. Attendance expectations (Chapter Members)
Chapter Membership is intended for active participation.
If you miss too many networking meetings/events, we may review your participation and may ask you to downgrade to Online Directory Membership.
11. Our right to suspend, remove, or terminate
We may suspend or terminate membership and/or remove listings where we believe there is:
- A breach of our Terms of Use
- Misleading or unlawful content
- Non-payment
- Behaviour that undermines the purpose or integrity of the community
12. Price changes
We may change prices and membership features from time to time. If your subscription price changes, we will provide notice via the website and/or email.
13. Payment processing
Online payments are processed by third-party payment providers (for example, Stripe). We do not store full card details.
